12314-10APS-4J250 – UTX-85 S/E Automatic OTF, 4th of July 250th Anniversary Edition
The Microtech UTX-85 S/E 4th of July Edition celebrates America’s 250th anniversary with an American flag Cerakote finish across the handle and an Apocalyptic finished M390MK drop point blade. Built at 85 percent the size of the full size Ultratech, the UTX-85 fits comfortably in hand for everyday carry without giving up the capability of its larger sibling.
The 3.13″ drop point blade is Bohler M390MK, a premium powder steel prized for excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance, ground with a flat grind and finished in Microtech’s rugged Apocalyptic coating. Blade thickness is 0.128″, giving the blade real strength for everyday cutting and utility tasks. The knife deploys automatically via out the front action, and includes a fully functional glass breaker built into the tail of the handle for emergency capability.
The handle measures 4.37″ and is machined aluminum, finished in the American flag Cerakote pattern specific to this limited release. Overall length is 7.5″ and the knife weighs 3.8 oz. An ambidextrous, tip down pocket clip allows for comfortable right or left hand carry, and the blade locks via Microtech’s thumb slide mechanism.
