Insurance Jewelry Appraisal for up to 4 items, such as rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, pearls or watches.

Insurance appraisals are the most common type of appraisal and are used for obtaining insurance on your items.  These are generally requested by insurance companies when you purchase a new item, change insurance companies or when an update is needed. Sometimes these are also done for charities or fundraisers on items donated for silent auctions. The values given for items on an insurance appraisal are considered current retail or replacement values.

Jewelry has been a passion of mine since I was a child.  It all started with a rock collection that my great grandfather gave me as a young girl.  As I grew older I often bought jewelry with my babysitting money.  In college I collected geodes and made beaded jewelry for friends and family.  After college I took Metal Smithing classes at the Indianapolis Art Center, which is where I met Steve Wright and soon began working as a salesperson in his store, Wright Jewelers. I went on to work for Jeff West at J. West Jewelry Designs (now Ringmaker.com), Pierce Jewelers and Kirles Jewelers.  I have now worked in the trade for 27 years. During that time I have gained extensive on hand experience and am knowledgeable about diamonds, pearls, colored gemstones, precious metals, watches and the process of custom made jewelry. I have done appraisal work “behind the scenes” for many of those years and continue to do appraisal work for Jeff West (Ringmaker.com) in Indianapolis.  I understand the market and the process of appraising as accurately as possible.  I also am a Graduate Gemologist, G.I.A, which of course is invaluable to my work.
